Vichy Dercos Nutri Protein Shampoo is meant to be a mild cleanser for dry and damaged hair (but you have to remember that the main function of shampoo is the cleansing one, and it should match your scalp type first of all). I bought it for testing after I tried and fell in love with the Vichy purifying shampoo for oily scalp.

Aqua/ Water, Sodium C14- 16 Olefin Sulfonate, Cocamide MEA, Glycerin, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Glycol Distearate, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate, Hexylene Glycol, Benzoic Acid, Carbomer, Chenopodium Quinoa Seed Extract, Citric Acid, Coco-Betaine, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Glutamic Acid, Hydroxypropyl Guar Hydroxypropyltrimonium Chloride, Pentaclethra Macroloba Seed Oil, Polyquaternium-7, Salicylic Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Sodium Citrate, Sodium Hydroxide, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tocopherol, Parfum/ Fragrance.

Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate is the main cleansing agent. It has to be a harsh surfactant. It's softened with more mild surfactants: Cocamide Monoethanolamine (MEA), Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauroyl Sarcosinate.

In addition, the shampoo has a wide range of conditioning agents (cationic surfactants, polyquaterniums, oils, etc.).

All this determines the shampoo in the category of soft and gentle cleansing.

The texture of the shampoo is closer to the creamy one, which causes some issues when using it.

How to use

Since Vichy Dercos Nutri Protein Shampoo has a creamy texture, it foams a bit harder than regular shampoos. I STRONGLY recommend creating a lather in wet palms first. And then put the shampoo on your hair.

It foams in the palms when water is added.

Wash your hair twice for the best cleansing results.

Vichy Dercos Nutri Protein Shampoo has an average cleansing ability.

It cleans the scalp gently and delicately and quite effectively.

Despite a large amount of softening components, Vichy Dercos Nutri Protein Shampoo leaves a sense of cleanliness without causing oily roots.

It is perfect for my normal scalp. After three weeks of use, I had no desire to use a more purifying shampoo.

A quite mild shampoo with a good cleansing function and without tangling the length is a rare (and very valuable) finding.

Highly recommended for normal and dry scalp.

I don’t recommend it for oily scalp.
